My Story

I started karate at another club as my brother wanted to and I didn’t want to be missing out, especially after having to give up archery and hockey. He didn’t take to it but I kept going and soon enough I was training 5+ times a week and started competing. When I got my black belt at 14, I felt I hadn’t really earned it and the club had stopped competing so I moved clubs and it reignited my love for karate. I hope to go to more international competitions and potentially medal at one if I can!

Sempai George started karate at the age of 8 at a different school but decided to join us in 2019 in order to compete and get the specialist training he was looking for. Later that year he was selected to represent England at the Federation of Wado-Kai Europe for the European Championships. George has become a much loved member of Wadokai Worcester, welcomed back from studying at University. â€‹

George is a brilliant young man who has a passion for teaching and helping others, but George also has experience and accolades from competing at International level. He now also wants to give back to the competition circuit by becoming a qualified Judge- George shows us all the opportunities karate can create.

Sempai George is a Team Leader now working towards the Junior coach level with Wadokai Worcester, helping run classes every Tuesday evening at Nunnery Wood.
