Our Special Sparks the Competition
Not far behind the champions were some remarkable karateka their skills and tenacity deserves the admiration and respect from all and deserve a metion. Firstly to Will Branchett- who had what we call a tough day at the office, Will was exceedinly unlucky however, he didnt come away empty handed, taking flags from much senior grades, only losing his fight due to Senshu- he made a remarkable come back in his fight scoring in the last 10 seconds with a spectacular kick to the head.
Florence Findlater- has spent the year studying for her GCSE's and was thrown in the deep end with Tabatha, performing together for the first time after only 1 training session together, managing secure themselves through their first round. Florence's team spirit is unmatched and after competiting herself spent the rest of her day helping out the coaches and supporting her teammates- a true role model for all!
And finally to Sam Gromski who tried his best and performed some lovely Kata, unfortunately the draw wasn't on his side but he came away with spirits high and ready for the next event!
